Lords and Villeins is an extremely polished and unique building sim with lots of depth and detail to it. The game is colorful with strong storytelling; featuring many stories at once that you will oversee and help unfold as you build up an entire kingdom for generations to come. Other than that, we also need your help with Adventures of Megara: Demeter's Cat-astrophe, and Eastville Chronicles: The Drama Queen Murder. Because things went horribly wrong in both of these games, and someone has to help us figure out how to fix it…
This strategic city builder has a different angle than what you’d usually see. Lords and Villeins focuses on getting the settlement off the ground and setting up priorities and goals for your inhabitants, which they will (or will not) then tend to. What you’ll be growing is not just a whole kingdom, but generations of families and dynasties you’ll be influencing as you watch their many stories unfold. Of course, you will be the one pulling strings behind the scenes, but we’ve mentally blacklisted some of our commoners for ignoring our priorities…
Deal with families and their descendants, from nobles to peasants. The colorful pixel art style is full of life and extremely polished. Not to mention cute. Dozens of facilities are at your disposal, and whole political systems are yours to command. There is a lot of depth to the game, including dynamic weather, soil quality, interpersonal relationships and much more. At Utomik, we were in love with the changes of the seasons: though it brings its share of danger every time, the world looks so pretty no matter the time of year, and the soundtrack complements this beautifully too.
How will you be building your world, and which family will secretly be your favorite?
You’ll wish to stay in her good graces once you learn of Demeter’s wrath in Adventures of Megara: Demeter's Cat-astrophe! Cat owners will likely recognize this behavior… The good people of Hellas prepared offerings for the goddess of fertility, only for a cheeky little kitten to jump into the basket and eat away. If it fits, it sits. And also it eats, apparently. Young Megara will have her hands full to undo the damage in these challenging time management levels. We’d never actually blame the cat, of course.
What’s a fitting way for the supreme Drama Queen, Dolores Molinero, to die? Why, murder, of course. Eastville Chronicles: The Drama Queen Murder is a simple hidden object game that has you investigate the scene of the crime. Interrogate suspects and unravel the layers of love, passion and intrigue as you go. The bustling hub of theater has never quite felt so eerie and unsettling.
